Picture Talk

Stella and I prepared breakfast for the family on Good Friday. Was a successful one I guess, just that Stella overcooked the asparagus. My scrambled eggs turned out just the way I wanted it. :)

Time out with Esther Han! Our long over-due outing. Went to this place called "Changing Appetites". Deserts were great but main course was not very good. (too oily)
CHEESECAKE!!!! (Rum and Raisin Cheesecake). I must try Royals as recommended by fid fid firdaus the pirate.

Esther's humongous chocolate drink.

Gathering with the people from Qifa 5C/6D (1999,2000) The boys are still as playful and noisy. Was a great time reminiscing our playful past.
Easter Musical. Thank God for the opportunity to serve as a Campus Group. This was taken at NTU Alumni Club, which incidentally was the place CAC was having their dinner at the same time.

Easter Sunday!
Christ is risen, and we worship a living God.
Since death has lost its sting, why should we not rejoice?

I had a taste of what life as a garang guni man is like today. IT'S DAMN TIRING AND I FELT SO SHAGGED JUST AFTER THE FIRST HALF OF COLLECTION.

Had to collect newspapers to raise funds for CAC FOC. On the brighter side, we managed to raise quite a lot of money, plus it was a good time to "exercise" and burn off some calories and train my arms =p

Besides having a feel of what garung guni-ng it like, I saw the life and death of a pigeon. It was a quite a sight. As I was keeping watch over the collected stuff, I saw on the grass a struggling pigeon. Seriously, I don't know how it dropped to the grass, coz just a few minutes before that, there was no pigeon there. So anyway, I saw its legs struggling while it tried to move its feathers. I couldn't see its head by the way. My friend came by and was so shocked by the pigeon coz she saw the pigeon actually foaming! (Great eyesight I must say, considering the size of the mouth of the pigeon). Both of us watched the helpless bird struggle for approximately 5 minutes before its final seconds. Its tail just gradually stopped shivering. RIP, pigeon.

But...

About a few moments later, a crow came and ate the dead pigeon and started ripping it apart. So much for RIP.

Dead pigeon with other oblivious pigeons happily pecking on dropped rice grains.

Dead Pigeon

Friend of dead pigeon, I suppose? Since it's the only pigeon that remained when the food were gone.

Seems like the friend is keeping watch over Dead Pigeon.

The group of wonderful and efficient Garung Guni-s!

Damn shagged!

First meeting went quite smoothly.. I'm new to PnP so I can't wait to learn new stuff from my fellow committee members and the previous PnP officer. Thank God Daddy and Mommy came and fetched me cuz I was really shagged.

I can't remember if I mentioned this, but I'm so happy I know where I'm heading with my research question for my first assignment! Yay!

When I think about tomorrow...
The feeling of dread overwhelms me yet again.
Sigh.. Weekends please come quickly!!!!! =(

Stand By Me
Ben E. King

When the night has come
And the land is dark
And the moon is the only light we'll see
No I won't be afraid, no I won't be afraid
Just as long as you stand, stand by me

And darlin', darlin', stand by me,
Oh now now stand by me
Stand by me, stand by me

If the sky that we look upon
Should tumble and fall
And the mountains should crumble to the sea
I won't cry, I won't cry, no I won't shed a tear
Just as long as you stand, stand by me

And darlin', darlin', stand by me,
Oh stand by me
Stand by me, stand by me,
Stand by me-e, yeah

Whenever you're in trouble won't you stand by me,
Oh now now stand by me
Oh stand by me, stand by me, stand by me

Darlin', darlin', stand by me-e, stand by me
Oh stand by me, stand by me, stand by me

...

As much as I love rock music, I do love to take a "break" from rock and indulge in some meaningful oldies or slow sentimental music.
stand by me...stand by me...

CAC FOC ended a couple of days ago, and honestly speaking, I miss every single person I knew from camp. Aftermath of camp was simply bad, as usual. I don't know how to describe this feeling, but I just felt DAMN sian on Saturday. Maybe it's because of the transition from a place where people are damn high to a place where the atmosphere has toned down a little.

Really glad to see a few familiar faces around like Curtis, a couple of people from JJ, one from my secondary school... etc. At least I didn't feel so alienated. My group, Sergia, though not very enthusiastic, was quite fun to hang out with nonetheless. I think the seniors are really cool people. Other than the seniors from my group (including the GLs), I've met other cool seniors whom I can't remember their names right now. The GLs are sweet, and cool plus hip. Really cool + hip..should have seen them on the dance floor on Thursday night. One thing though, I don't see the bond between leaders and freshies, unlike in the other groups. Nonetheless, they bought iced milk tea (MY LOVE!) for the group, and there're always two cans of drinks during meal times.
All in all, kudos to Justin and his team for making the camp a possible one.

It's great to see more mature people around, and there's definitely a great difference in the way people think at this age now, as compared to JC years.

Right now, I'm in the midst of cracking my nutmeg head cuz I have to write an editorial for Funkygrad on the camp. Not sure if they're gonna post it online, since it's just an assessment to see if I'm cut out for the job as a writer. Then this Thursday, I've got free-passess for Poltergay. Nothing is free in this world though... I have to write a movie review after that! I'm really nervous, but I'm gonna try my best.

Did I mention about my Secret Pal? I feel so cheated! I wasn't given a Freshie as an SP but a Programmer! Which means my SP wasn't really very dirty (read: soaked in mud, flour, foam, water) and I was. No worries though.. my SP is a nice and gentle guy, though there wasn't much to talk about.

Alright, I'm gonna continue my quest in cracking my nutmeg head. In case you don't know, nutmegs are quite hard to crack. I've got to add more intelligence and creativity!
