Okay, my guitar has hope :) Malcolm said it can be fixed by just gluing the cracked part,so I don't have to buy a new one. This guitar (i call it my lao gong number 2 :p) was a gift from someone 4 to 5 years back, and I never expected to have it, so it definitely has more value than the other 2 guitars I have.
And 211 essay deadline has been postponed to the next week! Thank God for giving me something I never really asked for. And I thought this week is gonna be bad... it's gonna be good after all. God is good :)
Count Your Blessings (http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/c/o/countyou.htm)
When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Chorus
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will keep singing as the days go by.
When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings. Wealth can never buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.
So, amid the conflict whether great or small,
Do not be disheartened, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.

Home Alone Day 2
Decided to cook Al Funghi Linguine for dinner. I must say that this is probably the best attempt out of the 3 I've cooked so far.. maybe because I went easy on the garlic and nutmeg.
No, this is not curry. It's Campbell's Ox-Tail soup. Decided to add some drops of tomato sauce cos the beef taste is really over-whelming.
The happy people (i hope) :)
Daddy and Mommy coming back tmr.. YAY!
And the killer week begins....

Through that cockroach....
I was in deep thoughts for my Silas Marner essay when suddenly I heard "Ahhh" from Stella's room.
The next thing I saw when I approached her room was a HUGE and ugly cockroach. Couldn't help but cringe the moment I saw it. Well, natural reaction when I see creepy crawlers.
Mom the brave, armed with Shieldtox, fought a good fight and flung the drugged cockroach out of the window.
It's amazing how cockroaches never end up in my room but Stella's or the other rooms. God knows I'm very afraid of creepy crawlers, and He just doesn't send them to my room even when my windows are opened. This is just one of my many blessings. Seems small, but it has a great impact.
That 3 minutes of anxiety and fear is finally over.
Peace is restored.
Back to Silas Marner.

:)
Mid week again, but I'm already feeling very tired. Not just physically tired, but tired of certain things in life, which i know I shouldnt be worrying about since I've already prayed, but somehow i just don't have the faith to believe nor pull through. This is just one of the moments where life seems really mundane and stagnant. It's easy to say "just don't think about it", but when your mind is idle, it is prone to think about almost anything in the world, what more the issues on hand.
On a happier note, I've finished 3/4 of my Sg Lit texts... left with Fistful of Colours which I'm really not interested in reading. Hope to finish it by Friday so I can concentrate on Vic Lit texts.
Got back the Sg Lit assignment today. I did better than I expected. Definitely satisfied considering how crap the work is. Tom Stoppard's presentation next wk, and then it's HW111 (our grp is really slack man...), and then it's exams. Can't wait for the exams to be over. I'm sick of this semester.
On an even happier note, Mom bought me a Cheesecake Recipe Book. Soooo many different kinds of cheesecake recipes! Definitely brought a smile to my face. Now I'm motivated to make cheesecake again, considering the not so successful first attempt.
Yesterday, went with CW to the Maroon 5 concert. It was not bad, and I couldn't help gushing about Adam Levine. Anyway, my craving for Bedok food was satisfied. The food was simply awesome.
Fried carrot cake.
The special Ba Chor Mee. The stall only sells Ba Chor Mee soup. The garlic taste is really strong, so if you're someone who doesn't like garlic, you'd probably not like it. I like it though.
Fried Hokkien Mee! Love the Hokkien Mee here!
Too bad our stomachs were not big enough for the stingray, grilled chicken wings, and otah. Those are really nice too.

Picture Talk
Stella and I prepared breakfast for the family on Good Friday. Was a successful one I guess, just that Stella overcooked the asparagus. My scrambled eggs turned out just the way I wanted it. :)

Time out with Esther Han! Our long over-due outing. Went to this place called "Changing Appetites". Deserts were great but main course was not very good. (too oily)

Esther's humongous chocolate drink.

Gathering with the people from Qifa 5C/6D (1999,2000) The boys are still as playful and noisy. Was a great time reminiscing our playful past.

Easter Sunday!
Christ is risen, and we worship a living God.
Since death has lost its sting, why should we not rejoice?

Easter Musical. Thank God for the opportunity to serve as a Campus Group. This was taken at NTU Alumni Club, which incidentally was the place CAC was having their dinner at the same time.
