Bleah

Post-modernism, Deconstruction, Tom Stoppard, Construction, Reality, Artificiality, Lyotard, Pastiche... etc etc are making me feel very very sleepy. I don't know how I'm gonna present Tom Stoppard's The Real Inspector Hound tomorrow. Still feel so lost even after attending the lecture..

I want to sleeeppp...

shux...its gonna rain.. i hope it rains only after I leave. I didn't bring an umbrella today =x

Anyway, I just happened to see the following on Nick's blog. The words to the song are really moving and encouraging.

My Saviour, My God
I am not skilled to understand
What God has willed, what God has planned
I only know at His right hand
Stands one who is my Savior

I take Him at His word and deed
Christ died to save me; this I read
And in my heart I find a need
Of Him to be my savior

That He would leave His place on high
And come for sinful man to die
You count it strange, so once did I
Before I knew my Savior

My Savior loves, My Savior lives
My Savior's always there for me
My God: He was, my God; He is
My God is always gonna be

Yes, living, dying, let me bring
My strength, my solace from this spring;
That He who lives to be my King
Once died to be my Savior

That He would leave His place on high
And come for sinful man to die
You count it strange, so once did I
Before I knew my Savior.

The 2nd last stanza reminded me of the song, May the Lord find us Faithful by the WILDS, which says in the last stanza:

Living and dying may honour be Thine
From this wretched life, Thou loved and forgave
A life that is on fire, be only our heart's desire
Be faithful from now to the end.

God loves us so much despite us being horrible sinners. If we call ourselves Christians, shouldn't we be living for Him alone, and not for the world?

Sometimes when I look at how I live my life, I seriously gotta ask myself if I'm really fit to call myself a Christian.

Now this reminds me of another song I used to sing in Calvary Jurong YF... Living For Jesus. It was one of our favourite songs from the songbook. If I remember correctly, we had a Church Camp that was themed,'Living For Jesus'. I miss Church Camps with Calvary Jurong actually.. But I guess things will never be the same again if I went back.
